Permission to Quote from Books Published by Lederer/Messianic Jewish Publishers
Our permissions policy states there is no fee for quotes up to 500 words when used for reviews in magazines, journals, etc. or as part of another work. However, when quoting in another work, the copyright attribution must be used as follows:
Here is an example if quoting from the Complete Jewish Bible:
Taken from the Complete Jewish Bible by David H. Stern. Copyright © 1998. All rights reserved. Used by permission of Messianic Jewish Publishers, 6120 Day Long Lane, Clarksville, MD 21029. www.messianicjewish.net.
For quotes of our material that are more than 500 words, fees are charged. We do this to protect the intellectual property rights of our authors. We ask that you state where the material will be quoted: book, magazine, for ministry use, etc. When making such a request for permission to quote, you must include the title of the book, author, approximate number of words to be used and purpose for their use, estimated word count of the entire project, and projected publishing date. We will get back to you with a price.
