Rabbi Joshua Brumbach

                                              

 

  

Joshua Brumbach is the Senior Rabbi of Beth Emunah Messianic Synagogue in Agoura Hills, California, and  adjunct instructor of Jewish Studies at Messianic Jewish Theological Institute.

Rabbi Joshua’s passion is often described as “infectious,” “contagious,” and “deeply inspiring.” He speaks in congregations and conferences around the country and is a frequent contributor to several publications.

He is an accredited Jewish educator, has studied in various Jewish institutions including an Orthodox yeshiva in Europe, and is ordained by the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations and the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council. He is currently completing a doctorate in rabbinic literature, holds a MA in Rabbinic Writings from MJTI, a BA in Ancient Near Eastern Civilizations and Biblical Studies from UCLA, and an AA in Anthropology from Mt. Hood Community College. 

Rabbi Joshua additionally serves as an adjunct instructor for the Messianic Jewish Theological Institute (MJTI), Vice-President of the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council, and on the Administration Committee for the International Messianic Jewish Alliance (IMJA).

He previously served as Senior Rabbi of Ahavat Zion in Santa Monica, CA; rabbi of Chavurah Succat Shalom in Rockville, MD; and as a consulting rabbi to Rosh Pina in Owings Mills, MD. He originally began his rabbinical career here at Beth Emunah, where he first served as an intern and then as the Assistant Rabbi under the founding Emeritus Rabbi Murray Silberling.

He is an avid mountain biker, loves the outdoors, is married to Monique, the Executive Director of the UMJC, and they have an elementary-age son.
